Summit Card Grading ("Summit," "we," "us," or "our") is committed to protecting your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and safeguard your personal information when you use our website and grading services.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information you provide directly to us when you submit cards for grading, create an account, or contact us. This includes:
Personal Identifiers: Name, email address, mailing address, and phone number provided during submission or account creation.
Submission Data: Card details, declared values, service tier selections, and any notes included with your order.
Payment Information: Billing details processed through our secure payment provider. We do not store full credit card numbers on our servers.
Communications: Messages, emails, or support requests you send to us.
We also collect certain information automatically when you visit our website, including IP address, browser type, pages visited, and referring URLs through standard server logs and analytics tools.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect to:
— Process and fulfill your grading submissions — Communicate order status, shipping updates, and cert registry entries — Respond to your questions and support requests — Send transactional emails related to your orders — Improve our website, services, and grading processes — Detect and prevent fraud or misuse of our services — Comply with legal obligations
We do not use your personal information for automated decision-making or profiling beyond what is necessary to process your orders.
4. Public Cert Registry
When a card is graded by Summit, a certification record is created in our public registry. This record includes the cert number, card name, year, set, grade, and grading date. This information is publicly accessible via our Cert Lookup tool and is intentionally public to allow buyers, sellers, and collectors to verify the authenticity of Summit-graded cards.
Your personal information (name, address, email) is never included in the public cert registry. Only card-level data is publicly visible.
5. Data Retention
We retain your personal information for as long as necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this policy, including maintaining your order history and cert registry records. Submission and grading records are retained indefinitely to support the long-term integrity of our certification registry. You may request deletion of your account and associated personal data at any time (see Section 7), though cert registry entries for graded cards will remain in the public registry as they serve as permanent authentication records.

Correction: Request that we correct inaccurate or incomplete information.
Deletion: Request deletion of your personal information, subject to our legal and operational obligations.

8. Security
We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your personal information from unauthorized access, loss, or misuse. These measures include encrypted data transmission (HTTPS), access controls, and secure payment processing through PCI-compliant providers.
No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. While we strive to protect your information, we cannot guarantee absolute security. In the event of a data breach that affects your personal information, we will notify you as required by applicable law.
